Trans.
Considering the interest in the Houellebecq translation, and that it seems to have been useful to people, I'm thinking of translating another one that I happen to have to hand : Françoise Giroud Lou, Histoire d'une femme libre, about the life of Lou Andreas-Salomé, lover of (or at least, loved by) Freud, Rilke and Nietzsche. Would anyone be interested in reading it...?

I would, definitely. Having enjoyed reading the work and exploits of 'Laure' (Bataille's one-time lover), I would certainly be up for reading about Lou Salome, who is, by all accounts, a much better writer.

I recommend her book on Nietzsche, actually; although it's rather heavy on the biography-produces-philosophy angle, it's fascinating to read about him as seen from such close quarters.
