Another thing Truro is useless for is the library. If you go into the reference library for some peace and quiet, you'll see a manager type man pacing the room shouting into a portable or mobile telephone. For God's sake!!!
The women on the desk are bad. They chatter continuously and are uninterested in their jobs. The alarm is forever going off. It happened to me once in ____ (nameless as don't want to encourage theft); they just said to each other "have you scanned her books?" the other said "yes", so they let me go through... Is it impossible that someone who genuinely takes books out the library steals one at the same time? Could it be that they think that no one would ever want to steal anything as crap as a book.
