thanks...the mer-goat comes from the fact that the mine is right on the edge of the coast (and extends at least a mile under the sea): there is a tradition of cornish tin mines being represented by sheep holding flags, of which no-one knows the origin...

I also like very much some of the ones in 'Mechanics,' which I just looked at today, especially inside the offices--places themselves could be 80 or 90 years old.

Very nice, i liked framing and the texture. Redundent technology in these industrial settings always gives off a sense of loss, i do wonder why. Incidentally they reminded me of some photographs by Rauschenberg, perhaps it's the way the light flares.
