I select as my muse the Pythagorean
rhythmomachia: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12
and all combinations thereof; warring numbers
for form; so must content bend to their martial rule.
Self-denying discipline – you'd have me abandon
words that pleased my soft heart, replace them with ciphers,
lucidity not mine, stubs clipped by the meter.
Desolate intention: submit to its torsion.
