Urbanomic presents Late at Tate: THE REAL THING

Urbanomic presents performance, film and other interventions exploring the emerging philosophical paradigm of Speculative Realism and its impact on contemporary art practice. The evening will include:

Premieres of two new sound works commissioned by Urbanomic:
Speculative Solution by Florian Hecker (exploring conceptual themes from Quentin Meillassoux's After Finitude)
Extralinguistic Sequencing by William Bennett (Whitehouse) + Mimsy DeBlois.

Screenings of Amanda Beech's video work Sanity Assassin, a claustrophobic journey through Adorno's LA nightmares, drawing on Ray Brassier's Nihil Unbound.

Sculpture galleries invaded by Pamela Rosenkranz's work which opens a dialogue with Reza Negarestani's Cyclonopedia.

A collaborative curatorial intervention rethinking Art and the Sublime.

Panel discussion with Robin Mackay, Iain Hamilton Grant, Ray Brassier, Amanda Beech and Pamela Rosenkranz.
